How to become an Uber driver in the UK?

How to become an Uber driver in the UK.

If you’ve already got a private hire license, be legally able to drive in the UK, and have an eligible vehicle,
you’re in luck. If not, you’re also in luck. We can help you obtain these, in order to become a full-time
Uber driver. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working on your own schedule, being your own boss, and simply
making great money by driving.

Private Hire License?

In order to drive with Uber, you’ll need a private hire license from a council that we’re licensed by. If you
don’t have one – simply click the below link to complete the driver sign-up form and we’ll help you get
started with a personalised ignition info appointment to offer support and advice after you sign up.

There are a few minimum requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license
  • Required years of driving experience will depend on in which city you are based.
1. Do you have a car? We’re asking all of our drivers to bring a car that is 2008 or newer. Make
sure that you check with your local Uber city team for other vehicle requirements. If you don’t quite
have a car right now, we’d love to put you in touch with some of our finance partners, unlocking
the ability to rent and/or finance vehicles.

2. Sign up online. This part is super quick and easy. Just fill in your details online to complete the first
stage of the application process!
3. Attend information session. This will provide a greater insight into how the UBER platform runs
and works! This part is essential.
4. Enjoy all these perks:
  • Make as much as you want – trip fares increase with time and distance. When demand is higher than normal, drivers take more.
  • Set your own schedule – no office, no boss. Drive at times that work for you. You’ve got complete flexibility to schedule around your life.
  • Let the app lead the way – Just tap and go. You’ll get turn by turn directions, suggestions to help you earn more, and 24/7 support!
Click this link to be taken to the driver sign-up page and to progress your application.
